Lunch today at Max's Autodiner

Hoping to see some of my KC friends at Max's Autodiner at 80th and Wornall today.  I'll be there at 11:45.  If you've never been there, it's a little place where you order inside then eat out on patio tables.  It's very inexpensive but the burgers are highly rated.  There's a big parking lot next door.

    1. Have you heard from Michele's family lately? I am on the breastcancer.org site with Michele and we have been kept apprised of her situation. In case you haven't been, unfortunately Michele is not doing well at all. This is the latest sad update on Michelle (LuvRVing) that was posted on another thread this afternoon:

"Just wanted to make a quick trip here to give you an update on our Michelle. I was with her last night and she is not doing well. She can't speak but I did ask if she could hear me and she did respond with a "yes". She can't put any words together. Rick just called about an hour ago and she was unresponsive this morning. They called Hospice and they were able to have her come around. Hospice feels her kidneys are now shutting down and they are waiting for a bed at our local Hospice.....they feel it may be just a few days.......I hope to get back to her tomorrow....I will let you know......This is so sad and not the way she should have to leave us after all the brave fighting she did..."

I don't know if I should have shared this or not but hopefully her family won't mind.

    2. Thank you very much for letting me know about Michelle, she has been very dear to my heart I am a breast cancer survivor. This is truly sad knowing she gave it a hard fight. I will be praying for her family.

Sorry for my delay in responding as I was in the hospital for 16 days and just got home. A friend of mine who reads Michelle's blog via mine told me to read the replies. Thank you. Deb

  7. My thoughts and prayers go out to Michelle's family. I have followed her for quite some time since "meeting" her in the web md diabetes community quite a while ago. I hope her story will continue to provide hope and support to others.

  8. I wanted to let Michelle's family know how much she meant to me. I never met Michelle and we never corresponded but when I was diagnosed with triple negative cancer her blog is one of the first ones I found. What a support and wealth of information she was. I followed her to breastcancer.org and was just heartsick about her passing. I know I don't have to tell you how special she is but I wanted to let you know how special I thought she was too.

  9. Bawling like a baby to read this. Just devastated that another amazing, kind, warm hearted woman taken from us. I started with Michele when she began chemo in the same month as me... on breastcancer.org. Crushed that she has left this body and moved on. To you, her beloved family, I know your loss is intolerable, unfair and devastating. My heart goes out to you.

  10. May her family live in comfort now that she is in peace and light. Her blog has inspired me while beginning my journey with breastcancer.org.
Wish I could have known her, but her words and compassion live on.
    A NH admirer
